We stayed on the 6th and 7th of September. Our experience was disappointing. No breakfast, small room, dirty cup, very limited Tea tray. No soap for hand washing in bathroom. Having been told housekeeping would service the room on the Sunday, we returned to discover it hadn't happened. When we raised with the manager we were told there had been a mix up over shifts! No word of apology, and if he'd known the problem since the morning, why was nothing done? The room was clean and the beds comfortable, but we were left with the feeling guests are an irritant. Not worth the high cost, and the opposite of all the other hospitality, offered in Corbridge! Stay away!

Stayed over in our campervan, and ate at the Wheatsheaf. On arrival, the Bar hadn't had a delivery for three weeks, and only had Fosters on draft and limited wine, which was disappointing. Evening meal was really nice and good value. The barman couldn't be more helpful. Would come back.

Well firstly disappointment to find they didn't do breakfasts as we had booked on a site for b&,b !! Got over that as Dylan was very kind to point out where we could buy it! The room was OK just wished they had spent more time and money …

Called in to the Wheatsheaf today (5/5/2025) Seemed pleasant enough, ordered drinks and food and that is where it all went wrong!! Drank our drinks, still no food, ordered another round, 1hr after ordering I asked Dylan where our food was!! 15 minutes later out comes the food!! Scampi and chips for the wife and Wheatsheaf burger for me, accompanied by a free beer, not Corona zero but peroni (I was driving)🤦 Wife’s chips and peas were cold, my chips were lukewarm and the burger was cold, this with uncooked bacon and I mean just warm!! Got up and walked out leaving the free beer on the bar!! Never again, sorry but it wasn’t exactly busy either 🤷‍♂️

Met friends for a drink on a Monday. Place was empty. Waited 5 mins for the bar man to appear. First 2 beers I asked for on tap weren't available.

We stayed there from the 9th till 13th had already received phone call saying no breakfast when we arrived there was no food supposedly a problem in the kitchen the pub was closed early all the week which was very annoying corbridge was a lovely place but as for staying at the wheatsheaf it’s a definite NO

Nice Sunday carvery. Service a little slow but I think that was down to not enough staff in restaurant area rather than anything else. Children's carvery good as they plate up for you and bring it over rather than having to juggle your own plate and theirs too. Meat nice and tender and veg cooked nicely.

BEWARE the car park!!|I've just received a £100 fine for parking in the Wheatsheaf car park despite following the instructions given to me about entering my details in the machine near the bar.|Makes for an expensive trip.

Went in for food. The special of the day was home made chicken curry, extremely bland and not worth the cost… the generic frozen/cooked fish and chips were “ok”. Lady serving was pleasant, place was clean from what we saw. Would we go back? Definitely not, bang average unfortunately.

Visited at 12 noon. Place was cold. |Latte coffee was like hot water out of a machine. The bar staff changed it for a pot of tea but that wasn’t much better. |Ordered a Halloumi hot sandwich which was strips of halloumi on a small plain bread bun. Chips were nice but certainly not worth the money.|Not a pleasant experience.

Have had a few meals here recently and all been excellent. On Saturday we thought we'd try a sandwich for lunch before setting off for a walk to Hexham. A nice surprise when I ordered a cheese and home roll, to find it was accompanied by home cooked chips, slaw and a generous side of fresh salad. It was beautiful. My wife ordered sandwiche of Haloumi and sweet chill. This was equally as good. Great value and in a nice comfortable setting. Service from waiter (Dylan) great as usual. George & Fiona.

We stayed here for a week in September and were impressed by the clean, comfortable room, very friendly staff and good breakfast. The hotel is ideally located in Corbridge, no more than 5min from the shops and restaurants. Another plus is the free parking in their large car park - anyone who has visited Corbridge before knows what a nightmare parking can be. Altogether highly recommended.

Went for Sunday Carvery lunch. I had beef on my mind before arrival, but as a matter of course, they cook the beef well done (no blood at all). It's a personal taste thing, but I really like my beef rare for a Sunday Roast. The service was excellent though. Apart from the beef issue and being given a set number of roasties (unable to serve yourself), it was good.

We stayed there from the 9 _13 June, thay knocked a bit off the bill because they said they did not do breakfast, when we arrived there where issues with the kitchen and that there would be no food until Wednesday or Thursday, we had our suspicions that something was not right in the evening the place was closed up about 8 o'clock so you could not finish the night off there, the view from the room was horrible, we will not be going back

This place is very disappointing. Certainly not a three star hotel more like two at best. Over priced with tatty small rooms that are freezing. The restaurant and bar are soulless, no style or ambiance. Breakfast was awful with cheap ingredients served Luke warm on a cold plate. Over priced at £130 a night. Avoid.

I am so disappointed with the wheatsheaf, having been there several times over the years. This time passing through we were the only patrons in the pub and had time to chat with the bar man that served us at length. After having a nice meal continued with our journey. Only to be presented with a carparking charge for £100 or if we pay quickly £60. At no time in conversation with the staff did they mention the charges even though they had discussed where we were parked I our conversation, not even at the point of paying the bill was the charge mentioned. This in my opinion is blatant deceitfulness at its worst. In a time where public houses are going out of business all over the country, to descend into this kind of activity deceiving customers is abhorrent. I have tried contacting them for an explanation but they have chosen to ignore my requests. While I am not a regular visitor, I will not be using them again.

Don’t touch this place with a barge pole A week after you visit you get a £70 parking violation charge even though you provide the details at the bar Scam scam scam scam Will never step foot in that place again and will make sure everyone else is aware I even used the equipment provided at the bar to register my car as instructed by the staff while they watched me and I still got this fine. So no i wont withdraw my comments and report away i don't care I'm so angry and i live in Corbridge for over 35 years

Went here with my partner as we were stopping in corbridge for some food on out way back from Scotland. The staff were great with great prompt service and dog friendly. Great selection of beers on tap and the food was really nice we enjoyed our stop off here and when we go back to corbridge we will pop in again.
