My stay was very comfortable as the rooms and common areas were very clean and well-kept. The room is simply furnished but has everything you need. There was a small kitchen and a space in the garden to hang laundry, very convenient. The owner Umer was knowledgeable and could assist with all my needs. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a safe, comfortable and restful stay, away from the crowds yet close enough to the busier areas.
I had a lovely stay here, the location is perfect just a short walk to black beach and very close to cafes shops and everything..The rooms were clean , comfortable and peaceful…The host Umer was kind and always available if we needed anything also gave great local tips… Would definitely come back again!

Great place to stay and location is also good ... Decent place and a budget accommodation. Irshad is nice guy who responds immediately. I highly recommend it.

I work online and I love Varkala so this time I picked this single room with shared kitchen in a quiet but close to the beach area. This guest house was all I needed. Perfect spot! I stayed for 5 weeks and it clearly exceeded my expectations. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and the location is perfect. Just a short walking distance to the cliff. I would definitely come back! I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you Irshad, Umar and cleaning staff. You are great! 🙏🏼✨
The proprietor Mr. Umar is a very friendly person. Always smiling and with a very gentle attitude. The location is heavenly. It's a safe place also. Just to mention some issues we faced.... we were a group of 9 and had 3 members who are 80+ which was informed to him in advance. We did not get hot water to take bath in the bathroom taps in the morning. We had to request him for it. And he arranged it also. Out of 4 rooms we booked, only one was in ground floor. So two elderly members had to climb the stair case. The food served was just good enough. Room cleanliness is average.

Great experience staying at Sevenstar residency. Short hike from the property takes you to the cliff where there is an abundance of shops/restaurants. Umar, the caretaker, is a fantastic person and the cute dog who stays at the place makes the experience even more wholesome.
Owner/ manager Umar is very kind and friendly . We will feel at home. There were insects in washrom not much a couple or so. Rooms were neat and clean. Cheap and best option for solo travellers and couples.
Highly recommended this place.beachs and cliff are just 5 minute walkable distance and there is also nearby restaurants where you can go for breakfast dinner.and i like the hospitality of the staff especially mr irshad he is very friendly and helpfu....thank you will.come back.
Fair price good rooms with ac/non ac available near to beach
I spend a few nights here and I am really happy with my choice. The kind and generous service surprised and impressed me the most! Irshad was always there to help me, I even got incense and a lighter to do my puja with the new statue that I found in Varkala. Lovely and clean place with good energy to stay. Only thing was: in nighttime the dogs were sometimes quite loud. Also there‘s a mosque nearby, where 1 man is chanting everyday at 5am for just a few minutes. So either you see this as early wake up call or you just continue sleeping again. Overall it was a great stay for a very good price! I even got an upgrade to a double room, so thank you Umer & Irshad for taking good care of me and treating me well!!
I had a great stay at SEVENSTAR residency! the room was nice and clean, the staff was very kind and helpful. and it was walking distance from the beach. I would definitely go back again!

Mr Umair was a nice host. Stayed for couple of nights. Felt like home. If you are looking for budget accomodation, then this is the place. Overall a good experience.
I had a very good experience at this place. I first was confused because i booked this accomodation unter the Name "Ohana Homestay" but it is basically the same. I had a nice and clean room, woke up to the sounds of birds and the nearby temple. The hosts were very nice and helped me with my simcard. You are close to the sea and to the kerala Café, which I really liked. The prices were also very good.
Hosts are good but the place is pretty basic. You will have to ask them for everything (which they very promptly attend to provided they pick up your call).
This residency is close to the varkala cliff area about 1 km.The Kerala cafe is right next to the residency.The owner is very helpful and the rooms are basic .The bed in my room was of spring and i had hard time sleeping on it. The washroom was chocked up as well so do check these things Location is great.They also help in acquiring scooty and taxi services.
I stayed here for 4 days…had a good and peaceful stay and would highly recommend this place to everyone whether friends, couple’s or family. The host was very friendly and helped us with everything. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean and tidy. They have a hammock where you can relax and also they have warm lights which make the nights very beautiful in the stay.
We stayed at sevenstar for around 2 weeks and I couldn’t recommend it enough! The owner and staff are incredibly helpful, generous and good people, assisting us on onward travel, helping us sort a mobile sim and generally being contactable for our entire stay for any questions we had! Couldn’t have asked for more. The room was perfect for what we needed, clean, spacious, extremely reasonable for the price he charged! The Wi-Fi is also fantastic, the best on our entire stay to be honest 😊 With the room you also have access to free drinking water and use of a fridge. Overall we have more than enjoyed our stay here and if we are ever back in Varkala we will stay with sevenstar again, thank you!
Great spot! It’s in a good location in Varkala and the hosts are so friendly and kind. I deducted a star because the mattress was quite thin & I could feel the mattress springs when I slept which was a bit uncomfortable, but overall everything was good. Rooms are clean, big and comfortable.
People here are quiet and nice. Floors and sheets all clean (walls slightly less so!). When I got a stain on my dress (from a delicious masala crab!), the man on duty was very kind at trying to find me stain remover.
Loved the experience with seven star residency nice & cozy room with good WiFi was & shops & cafes just next door... walking distance from beach...totally awesome 👍 would highly recommend
I had a great experience staying here. The host of this homestay is very sweet and helpful. We stayed in a cottage and it was budget friendly. The property and the ambiance is very beautiful and peaceful. You can even spot a firefly at nights.
