We booked this Hotel as a last minute break before school goes back. Check-in was a nice and simple process, our quadruple room was huge, spotlessly clean, great TV, tea and coffee facilities, and a view to the sea, personally not a fan of …

Great hotel right across from the beach with extremely kind and helpful staff Room was very spacious and modern with sea view and tea, coffee facilities. Breakfast was great, freshly cooked and served with a smile. Also staff went out of their way to provide private parking space for us which was much appreciated.

Attended an event at the hotel; both the bar and restaurant areas were very clean, as were the toilets. The staff were exceptional; you could not fault them. They were friendly and went above and beyond.

We went to the Esplanade hotel for a birthday party. The hotel service was friendly and helpful. The room we had was near the bar and toilet facilities which were ideal for families with children and elderly people. We did not stay overnight so cannot review the guest rooms.

We have never stayed in this hotel before and it was a very last minute booking. We had a nice welcome with a smile that's always a good start. We went into our room and it was lovely. It was very spacious and clean. The mattress on the bed was so comfortable we went out like a light. We woke up and opened the curtains and my god wow the view from the room was just stunning seaview. We went down for breakfast and the lady was so friendly told us where everything was. We had a full breakfast and it was big and so nice. We had a lovely shower after breakfast and then we checked out. We have re- booked straight away because we had a fantastic time. Thanks

The room was massive, with a sea view, room 1. All guest rooms have a sea view. Breakfast was tasty and freshly cooked to order. Service was friendly, and I was made to feel welcome. TV had access to YouTube, etc. I did yoga in the room, looking out to sea. Lots of floor space. I parked free on the road. It was a Sunday, so I could park until noon on Monday. There is a small carpark round the back, free. It was clean, and had fresh clean bedding. Tea and coffee provided....bring biscuits! Bathroom had a small shower, no bath. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel provided...in small tubes. Could these be saved from waste by providing wall mounted dispensers? I think the hotel is better than it appears from the photos online. Heater provided too, for chillier times.

Thankyou to all the staff for my dad's 80th birthday party on 8th June, the venue, food, drinks and staff were brilliant. The main room was fantastic, so well decorated I didn't really have to do much. The birthday boy was very surprised and enjoyed the whole evening ☺️ Arranging it with you and paying was made so much easier, no stress or worry and I could relax and have a great night. Once again thanku so much, and we will be back

What a great place. Cheap prices, but first rate service and brilliant rooms. Clean, tidy and the sea view is a bonus. This place has a great outlook and is close to everything we need. Should be rated higher than it is. I could only give 5 stars but would have put 7 if I could.

Stunning location, sea views are just unreal. Rooms are comfortable without being over the top, everything I needed. Staff are fabulous, friendly and always willing to help. Free parking. Great breakfast. Absolutely spot in place. If i went to clacton again I'd definitely use them again.

Absolutely Filthy. Broken furniture, stains on everything. Room smell of vomit and washroom stank very badly of urine. When I complained about the superior room i was shown another that was filthy. After asking for a refund as I'm not staying It was met with abuse. The place was full of homeless & migrants openly smoking drugs on staircase. Don't stay at this hovel. This was there Superior Room.

This will be a great hotel when renovations are complete. There were a few tiny issues but nothing that stopped us enjoying our stay here as we will definitely be back. I would advise the hotel to provide a couple of bottles of water in the rooms where there is no drinking water available. We didn't realise this until it was too late to pop out and get some. The curtains are not very dark so rooms are light early in the summer months. If this is an issue to you then take a eye mask but trust this is a fab hotel and location is fantastic and the breakfast is even better ♥️😁 good luck and we will see you soon 👍🏼

The room was spacious, clean and with a fantastic view. Very close to the pier and a few minutes walk to the main shopping and restaurant area. Fish and chips were amazing as was the breakfast. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. My only issue was that the bed was too soft for me, but that is a personal preference and in no way took away from the enjoyment of our stay.

Went to Clacton-on-Sea for oktoberfest and stayed at the Esplanade Hotel. I have to say it was pretty good, had a sea view double room with a bath. The breakfast was included and very nice, all for £65. If you ask me, this hotel should be 3-4 stars for the area. Will definitely stay here again if I come back. Had some beautiful girls at the front desk and a little cheeky young girl who booked us in.

Superb! I've been here twice now and will visit again when in the area. Portions are great - not too big, not too small. Fish is fresh and delicious. Chips are proper potato chips fresh from the fryer. Staff are attentive and offer choice.
